Post Mortem from Beta Release (Jesus)

Role: Scripter

Feedback: Based off the gameplay comments from the people who played the beta of Astrophobia, one of the main concerns that were addressed was the buggy respawning system which would clip the player through floor after respawning. Another comment was on the general level design layout of the game. The lighting was something the players struggled encountered when entering different rooms, and task objective immersion was minimal and asked to add other juice. The directory signs I had placed in the scene last minute actually provided helpful guidance through the sign, but it seems as some of the locations were uneven and left out of certain portions of the map. I plan on actually extending this and making a custom map texture from photoshop and displaying a terminal with "yellow exclamation points" of the locations left for the player to complete, something similar to among us but with a more interactive overworld canvas. There were empty rooms which have since been filled and populated with more art. Overall, a lot of improvements have been made, but the major ones that have yet to be implemented are the selected highlighted material for objective locations, map terminals, more signs, less ways for players to clips through to the roof, and adding a second floor to prevent players from doing that. Some meteors had abrupt edges that didn't show a proper indication when the player should jump so that will be reworked. Adding sound to the task is also something I plan on doing and adding more player GUI.
