Play-test Analysis First Iteration (Jesus Salinas)


The playtest/video guide comments to our current level design white box seem to be almost nearly positive with a query of questions I am ready to answer and tackle. Here are our play tester's feedback:

Feedback 1: Thanks for noticing the variety of walls, this was mainly due to our time crunch, but also they were lovely prefabs that Chris provided to help his teammates white box easily according to our sketch. Funny enough, I've had a recent itch to scratch where I just want to make a bunch of GUI tasks to implement around the spaceship similar to among us but idk how time will look for me.

Feedback 2: Thank you for noticing it was a spaceship in it's early phases. Yes the current white box sketch makes up the majority of the floor but we soon hope to replace it and add the skybox and sun in the distance to make it seem more outer spacey. The pace is loose atm since we're building, but if we follow our white box to the dot it should define the player's path to go outside and follow a loosely objective based game to escape the station. The lighting is in it's white box stages. That's all I can say other than we are working hard to improve it.

Feedback 3: Thank you so much for such a positive feedback! Unfortunately I started to work on the floors at 0:57 so if I were to remove them, you would see the white box layout with details in that specific corridor, but I can gladly say, there is little unutilized space in our map! So I look forward to your reaction after it is more fleshed out :)

Feedback 4: Thank you! Eerie feel achieved, yes you're right in following our plans for this game. Yes there are harsh shadows atm so we soon hope to add a ceiling and proper lighting indoors for the players to explore without a struggle of direction.

Feedback 5: Thank you for saying you found the concept cool, I do apologize the path's the player follows looks confusing when white boxing, but if we follow our original sketch and concept, the narrative should be there :) small spoiler for the future, the station is in ruins and you as the player are attempting to navigate the ruins and escape to safety. The lighting will be worked on as soon as possible so hope to see your comment again.

Feedback 6: Haha thank you, it was sort of impromptu so I apologize if there is a stutter or loose idea floating that was not concrete. Thank you! We tried our hardest when it came to detailing out the player's experience.
